Happy -middle of the week-!!!!
Hello and Happy Wednesday!!!
Thank Goodness for that huh? So glad its Wednesday already. Just one more day of work for me and I'm free!! :)
Today we have a -not so nice- mani for you. Last night, I, of course, wanted to do something that I have never attempted to do and I am not satisfied with it. I attempted to do a splatter with some Halloween colors.
Here is a pretty picture for you. I took this with my iPhone on instagram. Follow me at @carolinat_glitzinabottle
Besides the pretty picture, the actual mani, I think is horrible. I am not happy with it.
In this crazy mess, I used the following colors...
OPI - Purple with a purpose , OPI - A Roll in the Hague, and Essie - Licorice. And I finished off the mani with one coat of Sache Vite.
My friend made me realize today that I should have used a coffee stir straw!!! Yes people, I used a regular big straw! FAIL! Never again. I laid out some wax paper for the mess. And sadly, the paper looked so much prettier than my actual nails! I should have taken a picture of it. I added some cocoa butter Vaseline on my fingers and it was easy to wipe clean. Amazing! I will be using that from now on, not only did it smell good, but it left my cuticles so soft!
Thats all I have for today!
Here is a picture of my friends Halloween nails...
Enjoy!!

Its a sandwich!!!
Hello and -not so happy- Monday!
What makes my Monday better is that I took the day off to be at home updating my blog, cleaning up my office and organizing all my work and polishes! Not to mention, I'm cleaning in between. Need to make my hubby happy when he gets home tonight, this way he doesn't think I was home doing nothing all day long!
So here today, I have my very first nail sandwich. My first ever!! I was very very excited and happy how it turned out for my first one. With that sandwich I also have one of my creations for the Halloween Collection! - Scary is the new Sexy - by Glitz in a Bottle

Please don't mind my super dried up cuticles! I wash my hands way too much!
So here is my sandwich!
I started off with three coats of OPI -Don't Touch My Tutu-
I then added my Halloween creation -Scary is the new Sexy-, two coats. This polish is packed with all matted glitters, tiny red and black hexes, with bigger red and black hexes, and black bars! It goes on very smoothly, no need to dab on the glitters. I then added one more coat of OPI -Don't Touch My Tutu-
After that was dried, I added one coat of Gelous. Let me tell you, this has to be the best thing ever created for any glitter polish. It hides any bumps from the glitters. Go get yourself a bottle!!! My nails feel sooooo smooth! It feels like I don't have any glitter on. AMAZING! I bought mine at Sally's. After that coat I added one coat of the famous Sache Vite Top coat.
Here is a macro shot of Glitz in a Bottle -Scary is the new Sexy-. Go get yourself a bottle now. Email for a 10% off coupon or message me in Etsy. You need to like the Facebook page first!
Here is a close up of the sandwich mani. Looks fabulous to me!
What do you think?

My very first post!!!! --- Halloween Nails!
Hello!!!
Just want to say a quick WELCOME to my blog. Here you will find my creations! YUP, I make my own nail polish that I know you'll LOVE as much as I love to make them for you ; ). You'll also find swatches here from all of my Glitz's and my "nail art" (lol) from other polishes as well, not just mine.
Speaking of Nail Art, here is what I came up with this weekend. Since we all know, it is October!! YEY, Halloween!!!, I decided to make all my nail art and colors for October as a Halloween theme. Today, we have Candy Corn! Not just your ordinary candy corn nail art, but a more "out there" candy corn, chevron look.

Ok, I know what you're thinking, "why Starburst?". I was looking for some candy corn around my office and nobody had any! I know, right?!, who doesn't have any candy corn around Halloween?! Well, the only thing we had was Starburst. It did its trick, right? what a treat! (trick or treat, get it? haha)
So here is how I did my mani...
I started off by painting my whole nails with Milani - Whitest White. Shown is two coats.
I used tape to make the triangle on top and painted over with China Glaze - Orange You Hot? (two coats). Make sure your first layer is dry before adding the tape. After painting over the tape, take the tape off right away to get this look... or better lol.
Then finally, add another piece of tape once its dried and paint it over with China Glaze - Lemon Fizz (two coats). Then of course, I finished it off with one coat of Sache Vite.
I love this mani, what about you?
Of course, I have to show you one more thing. This blog is not only going to be about me, but my good friend, Karina, she does some pretty awesome nail art as well!
(she's way better than me, but ssshhh, dont tell her. hehe)
This would be her mani...
webs and spiders that she drew on herself... I know, she's awesome!
